Stewart Fergusson read history at Cambridge and then spent six years teaching and researching early modern history at McMaster University in Ontario, Cambridge and Oxford University. In 1977 he moved to Coventry to set up and manage local housing associations but continued to research aspects of Coventry’s history. He retired from full time employment in 2014. He has published three articles on aspects of Coventry’s 17^th century history, writes a blog for the Guildhall and is a research volunteer for Historic Coventry Trust
