Historic Coventry Research

  • Post category:News

‘Calling all local history enthusiasts! We have an exciting volunteering opportunity for you to join our new research project ‘Characters Through Time’. By investigating key historical figures associated with Charterhouse, London Road Cemetery and the City Gates, you will help to uncover previously unheard stories about our sites. The project will run from December until March and is designed to be undertaken online without a need for ‘in person’ interaction or travel, to ensure volunteers’ safety at this time. This is an amazing opportunity to get more involved in some of Historic Coventry Trust’s special places, connect with others interested in local history and to help rediscover some of Coventry’s hidden heritage.

If you are interested in taking part in this project, we kindly request that you contact Jessica Thorley at jessica.thorley@historiccoventry.org.uk by Wednesday 25th November 2020.

Places are very limited on this project, so we encourage you to get your application in as soon as possible but this does not guarantee you a role in this project. We are always looking for volunteers to join us at Historic Coventry Trust, please visit our website to find out more about the different roles we have on offer. If you are interested in becoming a HCT volunteer, complete and return a general volunteering application form: https://www.historiccoventry.org.uk/volunteer/

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, and we look forward to hearing back from you.
