Description

St Paul’s Cemetery

St Paul’s church and graveyard is situated on the east side of Foleshill Road Coventry, just north of the junction with Lockhurst Lane. The cemetery, opened in 1892, is on the north side of Holbrook Lane. The burials mainly consist of people living within the Foleshill area, but also include some people living in other parts of the city and beyond.

The CD has been updated in June 2020 to include Volume 8 of the cemetery records, and now includes burials up to 30th December 1994.

The CD  presents a transcription of the information in the burial registers from the opening of the cemetery in 1892 (the first burial we have recorded on the database is 17th May 1893) to 30th  December 1994, and all the graves in the graveyard. Society members transcribed the records from photographs of the original documents.

Copies of the official maps of the cemetery were obtained from the Bereavement Services and photographed. These are reproduced on the CD as PDF files that can be printed out.
